Sarah Daniel

Sarah Daniel is a Political Science PhD student, focusing on the evolution of spatial urban planning policies in colonial East Africa. Her research investigates the enduring impacts of these policies on contemporary patterns of spatial separation and inequality, particularly how space affects individuals' perceptions and political attitudes and behaviors. She has experience in conducting causal inference research and qualitative research, including interviews and archival research.

Rick Jaffe

Guidance and referrals regarding data management strategies; DMPs for grants; data discovery, storage, security, privacy, sharing, publication, and preservation.

Scarlet Bliss

Scarlet Bliss is a MS/PhD graduate in Epidemiology from the School of Public Health. Her work focuses on mixed methods approaches to characterizing and preventing spread of antimicrobial resistance and other enteric pathogens via the environment. She has experience in statistical analysis and public health bioinformatics. She is interested in ethical use of big data as it relates to epidemiologic research.

Amy Neeser

As the Consulting + Outreach Lead in Research IT at UC Berkeley, I coordinate the consulting efforts across the Data Management and Research Computing programs to offer a holistic approach to data and computation. I have experience working with data across the research lifecycle and my research interests include equity in STEM, interdisciplinary and open digital scholarship, innovative uses of technologies in academic environments, and critical digital literacy. Noah Baker

Noah is a recent MPH graduate in Epidemiology and Biostatistics and is headed to UCSF's BMI PhD program. His research is focused on modeling and predicting disease, with projects in East Africa and California. As a Domain Consultant, Noah works with the clinical data collection tool REDCap and the Secure Data Research Compute (SRDC) infrastructure. He has interests in epidemiological/healthcare big data, HPC utilization, and machine learning.

Rick McGeer

Rick is a Berkeley PhD from EECS who's done extensive work in industrial research and startups in Cloud Computing, Distributed Systems, Computer Networking, and Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits He's particularly interested in democratizing access to computing systems and data.

Erin Foster

Erin is the Service Lead for the UC Berkeley Research Data Management Program. In this role, Erin oversees the program and its services to academic departments and service units and is responsible for providing leadership and collaborative coordination to ensure the success of this university-wide program. Wan Nurul Naszeerah

Wan Nurul Naszeerah (she/her) is a Doctor of Public Health student at UC Berkeley and a domain consultant at Research IT. Trained in Infectious Diseases Epidemiology, Wan has conducted epidemiological studies using a combination of tools, including field entomology, Geographic Information System (GIS), remote sensing and statistical softwares. She is currently interested in analyzing health information in new media.

Anna Sackmann

Anna is the Data Services Librarian at the UC Berkeley Library. In this role, Anna oversees the Library Data Services Program, which guides scholars to discover, access, share, and preserve data through dataset acquisition, discovery and librarian-led instruction and consultations. She collaborates closely with librarians and other data focused campus organizations in order to provide holistic data support for researchers, faculty, and students.
