As Associate Director of Research IT at UC Berkeley, Chris leads a set of research computing and data services and projects. He is program director for the campus-wide Research Data Management Program, a partnership with the university library that helps researchers with their data management challenges across the project lifecycle. Through the Secure Research Data and Compute initiative, he is leading efforts to improve services for researchers working with restricted data. Chris also leads UC Berkeley’s Informatics Services program and partners with campus museums and research collections. At the intersection of these efforts, Chris is leading work around visualization environments and services for UC Berkeley.
