As Associate Director of Research IT at UC Berkeley, Chris leads a set of research computing and data services and projects. He led the development of the campus-wide Research Data Management Program, a partnership with the university library that helps researchers with their data management challenges across the project lifecycle, and continues to consult with researchers facing complex data management challenges. He led the development of the Secure Research Data and Compute platform and other services for researchers working with restricted data. Chris continues to work closely with campus museums and research collections. At the intersection of these efforts, Chris is leading work around visualization environments and services for UC Berkeley.
