This brown bag session will focus on secure campus tools and services that Research IT and Berkeley IT offer to researchers, tips on navigating campus security processes, and cybersecurity best practices for keeping your research and research subjects safe.In partnership with the UC Berkeley Information Security Office and Industry Alliances Office.

Noah Baker

Noah is a recent MPH graduate in Epidemiology and Biostatistics and is headed to UCSF's BMI PhD program. His research is focused on modeling and predicting disease, with projects in East Africa and California. As a Domain Consultant, Noah works with the clinical data collection tool REDCap and the Secure Data Research Compute (SRDC) infrastructure. He has interests in epidemiological/healthcare big data, HPC utilization, and machine learning.

Rick McGeer

Rick is a Berkeley PhD from EECS who's done extensive work in industrial research and startups in Cloud Computing, Distributed Systems, Computer Networking, and Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits He's particularly interested in democratizing access to computing systems and data.

Erin is the Service Lead for the UC Berkeley Research Data Management Program.
