On November 19 from 1:00-4:00, the Center for Open Science (COS(link is external)) and the Berkeley Initiative for Transparency in the Social Sciences (BITSS(link is external)) will host a workshop on Openness and Reproducibility in Quantitative Research.
Attendees will learn easy, practical steps researchers can take to increase the reproducibility of their work. The workshop will be hands-on. Using example studies, attendees will actively participate in creating a reproducible project from start to finish.
Topics covered will include:
- Project documentation
- Version control
- Pre-Analysis plans
- Open source tools such as the Open Science Framework(link is external) that can be used to implement these concepts in a scientific workflow
