Announcing Amy Neeser's new role with Research IT

May 15, 2019

Research IT is pleased to announce that Amy Neeser will step into a new role as the group’s Consulting and Outreach Lead. Amy will be coordinating our consulting efforts across the Berkeley Research Computing (BRC) and Research Data Management (RDM) programs, and will also facilitate and grow our community, partnership, and outreach programs. Amy started in the new role on March 1st, but she has been helping with this work since Quinn Dombrowski left UC Berkeley this past fall, and so hits the ground running.

Amy came to Berkeley in the summer of 2017 to be the RDM Program Manager, working in a partnership between Research IT and the Library to provide Research Data Management services to campus researchers. Before coming to Berkeley, Amy worked as the Data Curation Librarian at the University of Michigan and prior to that worked as a science librarian at the University of Minnesota.

Research IT and the Library are working to find a replacement for the RDM Program Manager role. In the meantime, Amy will help us ensure that the RDM program continues to be supported.

If you have any questions about Research IT consulting, or want to schedule some time with one of our consultants, you can contact us by sending email to research-it@berkeley.edu.
