Status and Service Updates
Wed, 12/24 - Thurs, 1/1: Limited Support During Winter Curtailment
Research IT will be participating in a winter curtailment and holiday closure program Wed, 12/24 through Thurs, 1/1, 2026). During this time, Research IT will be operational with limited staffing available for user support. Please expect delays with our response during this period. We expect to return to regular staffing and response times starting Friday, Jan 2nd, 2026.
12/22 - 1/9: No office hours during Winter Break
Research IT office hours will be closed between 12/22 - 1/9 and resume the week of 1/12/2026. Please reach out to us via e-mail for assistance in the meantime at research-it-consulting@lists.berkeley.edu
Wed, 11/26 - Thurs, 11/27: No office hours during Thanksgiving Break
Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, we will not be holding office hours on Wed, 11/26 or Thurs, 11/27. Thursday and Friday are university holidays so we will be limited in our responses until we resume service on Monday, 12/1. Please contact us by e-mail in the meantime.
Mon, 10/27: Scratch File System Back Online
We have restored the scratch file system, and it is online now. However, this issue might occur again, so we will continue to work with our vendor, DDN, and the datacenter team to find a permanent solution. We appreciate your patience.
