The Digital Humanities at Berkeley initiative is a multi-year partnership between the Dean of Arts and Humanities and campus partners including Research IT, focused on building capacity for digital humanities research and teaching and connecting a variety of campus institutions. With generous support from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research, the initiative is focused on building capacity for DH research and teaching and connecting a variety of campus institutions.
Research IT supports the Digital Humanities at Berkeley program in offering consulting at all stages of Digital Humanities project development, including tool selection, grant development, recruiting research assistants, technical assessment, assessment of online hosting options, and research data management. Research IT focuses on technologically-intensive consulting needs.
