Research Computing Support (undergraduate internships)

First, BRC is seeking multiple Research Computing Support interns. The positions are open to UC Berkeley undergraduate students in any year and any major, with expected graduation between May 2018 - May 2022. Here’s the job description:

Welcome to Berkeley Research Computing's Summer 2017 Interns

Research IT welcomes a UX/Visualization intern, a Journalism and Outreach intern, and two Coding/Database interns to the Berkeley Research Computing (BRC) team for summer 2017. Cassie Zhang, our returning UX/Visualization intern, will be implementing a “dashboard” for the Savio High Performance Compute cluster, a project continuing from spring 2017.

Emilia will be working with Berkeley Research Computing (BRC) users to report on how the program benefits researchers in their fields of study. The collection of stories and interviews that will be gathered through this work will convey how BRC is supporting the evolution of data science and research computing across the campus.

Welcome to Research IT's Spring 2017 Interns

Research IT welcomes two UX/Visualization Interns, a Container Research and Development Intern, and a User-Centered Design Research Intern to our team for the Spring 2017 semester! Samba Njie Jr., one of our UX/Visualization Interns, will be generating visualizations and reports for Berkeley Research Computing metrics. Cassie Zhang, our other UX/Visualization Intern, will be prototyping a “dashboard” for the Savio High Performance Compute cluster, to show researchers how they are using their Faculty Compute Allowance.
