Arts & Humanities Division

Research IT has extensive experience working with humanities scholars and technical staff who support humanities research through its leadership of initiatives such as Project Bamboo, the DiRT directory, and NEH-funded Berkeley Prosopography Services project.

Recently, the Office of the Dean of Arts and Humanities has partnered with Research IT to establish the Digital Humanities at Berkeley program, which provides grant funding, consulting, workshops, and community-development activities around digital humanities tools and methodologies. Research IT staff are particularly involved in coordinating the consulting program, providing technical, project management, and sustainability advice for research projects and courses, and managing a hosting service for digital humanities projects that have received local grant funding.
