penness and Reproducibility in Quantitative Research workshop: 19 Nov 2015

On November 19 from 1:00-4:00, the Center for Open Science (COS) and the Berkeley Initiative for Transparency in the Social Sciences (BITSS) will host a workshop on Openness and Reproducibility in Quantitative Research.  

Attendees will learn easy, practical steps researchers can take to increase the reproducibility of their work.  The workshop will be hands-on.  Using example studies, attendees will actively participate in creating a reproducible project from start to finish.

Topics covered will include:

  • Project documentation
  • Version control
  • Pre-Analysis plans
  • Open source tools such as the Open Science Framework that can be used to implement these concepts in a scientific workflow
